Bronze and Silver Jewelry from the Arcs Jewelry Series

The design language of Arcs jewelry is both sublime and ethnic. At the same time, graceful and strong jewelry describe the balance of everything and the endless repetition of mornings and evenings. The Arcs collection depicts the eternal continuum of time and life. The Arcs jewelry collection includes a necklace, bracelet and earrings, and all products are available in silver or bright bronze.

Arcs necklaces have beautiful glass beads, a silver necklace is decorated with a lavender blue glass bead and a bronze mint green glass bead. The pendant part of the jewelry collection is slightly convex, concave on one side. Both sides are patterned, so you can wear the jewelry on both sides.

The striking Arcs earrings are light for their size. In the earrings, the convex arc is placed inside the ring and thus the earring gets its own special shape, although it is clearly the same as the Arcs series. Kalevala Arcs bracelet has four arches, which are placed in the bracelet alternately with the convex and concave side up. This gives the bracelet an exciting, distinctive and spectacular shape. The length of the bracelet can be adjusted between 17.5 and 19.5 cm.

Arcs Jewelry are Finnish Handicraft

The Kalevala Arcs collection is handcrafted at Kalevala's own jewelry factory in Konala, Helsinki, and the glass beads are also made by Helsinki-based glass artist Nina Diaz Halone using the traditional lamp technique. Finnish, sustainable manufacturing methods are important to Kalevala. The Kalevala factory has invested in modern jewelry manufacturing techniques and innovations, but each pair of jewelry still goes through an average of ten pairs of hands on the way from blank to finished jewelry. This is how the centuries-old Finnish goldsmith tradition is nurtured. Kalevala jewelry has been awarded the Key Flag Symbol as proof of Finnish work.

In its operations, Kalevala strives for a circular economy and minimizing its carbon footprint. 95 percent of the silver in the jewelry is recycled and the remaining 5 percent comes from Nordic mines. Recycled bronze has also been used in the manufacture of bronze jewelry. The Konala factory, on the other hand, runs on electricity obtained from wind power and its own solar panels, and the water used in jewelry manufacturing is carefully cleaned before being discharged into the municipality's sewer system. Some of the water is also reused in the production process.

The Arcs jewelry series is the work of Antonio Mazzamauro. Mazzamauro is a clothing designer, but jewelry has always gone hand in hand with the clothes he designs. He gets inspiration from the constant observation of life and its phenomena. He cherishes Finnish identity in his works, but it is important to him that they also have a sense of internationality.

From the Arcs necklace, he picks out the green glass bead of the bronze necklace, which he sees as representing the Jungle Fever trend. He is also happy that a maker was found in Helsinki for the glass beads.
