Kalevala Filigree Cross Pendant with Zircon, Silver
Silver Kalevala Filigree Cross Pendant with Zircon
The Kalevala Filigree cross pendant is part of the Kalevala Filigree jewelry series, which is modeled after a museum model from the 18th century. Filigree jewelry represents the style used by the wealthy nobility of the 18th century. Such filigree-decorated jewelry was common in Sweden at the time, and from there they were also transported to the coastal cities of Western Finland. Filigree is an old goldsmith's technique where thin threads are soldered to the frame. This creates its delicate and lacy pattern. Jewelry designed based on the ring has been in the Kalevala collection since the 1960s.
The Kalevala Filigree cross pendant is a special gift from a godparent to a godchild, but is suitable for anyone who appreciates traditions and the decorative Filigree style. In the pendant, the filigree pattern is decorated with a clear zircon stone. The cross pendant comes with a chain whose length is adjustable.
