Tapio cake fork, silver
Silver Tapio cake fork
Tapio is a series of cakes named after the academic Tapio Wirkkala. The instruments were completed in 1957, but the series was not unveiled until the following year at the Brussels World Fair, where it was selected as one of the "Home in 2000" objects. The fact that the Tapio utensils are still a modern, youthful alternative to traditional silver cutlery speaks volumes about the aptness of this choice.
Silverware always tells its own story, whether it is a heirloom, a memento of an anniversary or achievement, a daily part of the table setting or a utilitarian and decorative object. Silver objects are often associated with fond memories and the Tapio silver tableware range is available with engravings to commemorate important events. Silverware is delivered in Gold Centre's own storage boxes.
