Kalevala Koru is now Kalevala
Kalevala (formerly Kalevala Koru) has renewed the entire look of the brand and from September 2020 onwards , Kalevala Koru will be called Kalevala .
Kalevala's collection is divided into three different series:

Kalevala Originals
The Kalevala Originals collection contains the most traditional sets of Kalevala Jewelry. The Kalevala Originals collection includes e.g. The Kuutar series, the Elämän roihu series and the Heart of the House series.
Kalevala Modern
The Kalevala Modern collection offers eloquent and expressive jewelry with emotion and a message. In the Kalevala Modern collection you can find e.g. the popular Valoisa and Kaikuja series.

The Art by Kalevala collection maintains the tradition of Lapponian jewelry and includes many of the most famous models from Lapponian jewelry, such as the Planetary valleys käädy and the Winter Pearl series.

The Kalevala was born from the courage, wild visions and desire of Finnish women to make an impact.
In 1935, the writer Elsa Heporauta got the idea to erect a statue for Finnish women, inspired by the 100th anniversary of our national epic Kalevala. In order to implement the idea, she established a memorial committee, to which she invited progressive influential women of the time.
The committee decided to finance the statue by ordering jewelry for sale, which was designed based on antique jewelry from the collections of the National Museum. When the first collection was introduced in 1937, it immediately gained enormous popularity.
This is how jewelry manufacturing, which started as a fundraising project, grew into one of Finland's most popular and respected jewelry brands, which still continues to pay tribute to Finnish women.
Domestic handicrafts - now and always
Kalevala jewelry is always handcrafted in Finland. The jewelry has been awarded the Key flag symbol, which is a sign of domesticity and responsibility.
Today, Kalevala jewelry is made in a modern jewelry factory in Konala, Helsinki.
