Kalevala Love Rings are Handcrafted in Finland

The Kalevala Love collection is a tribute to Finnish goldsmithing. The ring collection is produced in Kalevala's own jewelry factory in Konala, Helsinki. More than 80 jewelry professionals work at the factory, and although modern tools and innovations have been invested in jewelry production, each piece of jewelry passes through an average of ten pairs of hands on the way from blank to finished piece. This is how modern technology meets the centuries-old traditions of Finnish goldsmithing.

Kalevala jewelry is made to withstand time and use, and sustainable solutions are also sought in its manufacturing processes. Kalevala jewelry has invested in Finnish jewelry production and the traditions of goldsmithing, the circular economy and minimizing the carbon footprint. The gold used in sustainably produced Kalevala Love rings is 100 percent recycled. All precious metal waste generated in jewelry manufacturing is collected, even down to the metal dust generated during the grinding phase, and cleaned for reuse. Renewable energy is used at the Konala Factory, and the process water produced in jewelry manufacturing is cleaned before being discharged into the municipal sewer network. Part of the purified water is also recycled back into the production processes.
