Keskisen Kello, part of the A-lehdet Group, acquires Laatukoru

Keskisen Kello Oy, part of the A-lehdet Group, has acquired Laatukoru Oy, a Finnish family-owned jewelry company. The deal creates a versatile watch and jewelry company that combines the largest online store in the field in Finland with a strong nationwide network of stores. As part of the arrangement, some of Laatukoru's current owners will continue as entrepreneurs in the new Keskisen Kello. The transaction has been approved by the competition authority.

Keskisen Kello has grown strongly in recent years. The company sells traditional watches, smartwatches, sports watches and jewelry at retail and runs the largest watch and jewelry online store in Finland. The company also has a physical store in Tuuri, in South Ostrobothnia. Keskisen Kello's revenue in 2025 was 25.8 million euros.

Laatukoru, which has been in business for over 50 years, is a well-known Finnish family-owned jewelry company. The company's sales network consists of 11 Laatukoru physical stores in southern Finland, one Swarovski Boutique store and a nationwide online store. In Hyvinkää, Laatukoru makes its own respected Silván-brand diamond and precious metal jewelry, and it also sells a wide range of jewelry and watches from other leading manufacturers. Laatukoru's revenue in 2025 was 16.9 million euros.

Together, Keskisen Kello and Laatukoru form a company that employs a total of just under 140 watch and jewelry professionals.

A strong step in the group's growth strategy

The acquisition of Laatukoru carries out the strategy of the A-lehdet Group, under which the group grows its core businesses both organically and through acquisitions. Keskisen Kello, which has developed its business systematically, gains through this deal a network of stores that complements its nationwide online store.

"The A-lehdet Group develops its entrepreneur-led businesses with a long-term view, and this acquisition is a significant strategic milestone. For Keskisen Kello and Laatukoru, the combination brings opportunities for growth and renewal. The company now has a strong foundation for building its next growth phase," says the CEO of the A-lehdet Group and Chair of the Board of Keskisen Kello, Heli Arantola.

"I am especially pleased that through this arrangement two Finnish family companies are joining forces and ownership remains in Finland. I warmly welcome Laatukoru's staff to the A-lehdet Group," Arantola continues.

A complementary combination

"Laatukoru and Keskisen Kello complement each other wonderfully. Keskisen Kello has the largest watch and jewelry online store in Finland, as well as a strong in-house technology platform and the expertise that goes with it. In connection with the Tuuri store, we also have our own warehouse and dispatch facility, from which we can deliver orders to customers as soon as the next day," says the CEO of Keskisen Kello, Janne Sorakivi.

"Laatukoru, in turn, has three generations of experience in customer service in 11 stores and a goldsmith's workshop in Hyvinkää. Our own Finnish jewelry design and high-quality manufacturing, along with the specialist expertise that goes with them, are especially important to us. Thanks to this, we can offer our customers truly domestic craftsmanship and individual finishing from within our own chain. We also carry very interesting and sought-after brands in resale, so customers can find a comprehensive selection in one place. Most importantly in this arrangement, however, we are bringing together the people and valuable expertise of two companies. Together we are clearly more," sums up Sorakivi.

Appreciation for domestic work

For Laatukoru's owners, the business arrangement marks the beginning of a new era and a commitment to a shared future.

"At Laatukoru, we have worked with great heart and pride with Finnish jewelry culture and with our customers' everyday life and celebrations. When we considered our company's next step in growth, it was clear that we wanted a partner who shares the same values, appreciates domestic work and understands the importance of a family business background. Keskisen Kello and the A-lehdet Group were a natural choice. Laatukoru has highly skilled and committed staff, and it is great to know that the journey now continues with the support of an even stronger organization," says Lauri Silván of Laatukoru Oy.
