Silver Kalevala Kalevankarhu Pendant with Black Leather Cord, From Kalevala's 90th Anniversary Collection

The large Kalevala Kalevankarhu pendant features a silver bear and a long black leather cord. The bright silver clearly highlights the bear's curved shapes and details, and the leather cord makes the piece casual and easy to combine with other items. The cord length is 100 cm, so the jewelry can be tied at a suitable height. The front of the silver jewelry features Kalevala Koru's 90th-anniversary stamp until the end of 2027. The Kalevankarhu was designed by Kaisaleena Mäkelä in the 1990s.

Kalevankarhu combines Finnish mythology, nature, and timeless jewelry design. Originally part of the Alkuaika collection, the motif draws inspiration from the mythical animal figures of Northern peoples. The bear embodies the power of the forest and the Northern storytelling tradition. The updated series brings this familiar motif to modern jewelry and celebrates Kalevala's 90-year journey.
