On a frosty night it swung down from the sky with thousands of its companions. In the blue-grey twilight of the morning, it creaked merrily under the footsteps of the walker, only to soften in the afternoon into a snowball floating in the air. In the ears of spring, it splashed in the stream. A snowflake. A jewel shaped by nature, like the frost-drawn ice flowers on a porch windowpane. Designed by goldsmith Terhi Koivisto, the Snowflake embodies the delicacy of first snow and the shimmering light of its crystal on the surface of the snow.
